PIEDMONT HAZELNUT IGP

Hazelnuts are loved for their sweet, round flavor and crunchy kernel in a reddish-brown shell. The Piedmontese hazelnut, named after its region of origin, is grown in northwestern Italy at the crossroads of the Mediterranean, the Alps, and the Italian interior. The IGP label is an abbreviation for "Indicazione Geografica Protetta," or Protected Geographical Indication.
